Sevmeir, though, noticed the folvenhein party and they had seen both him and Xaffir. They had looked at them, and Sevmeir could tell how disappointed they were. What he couldn’t figure out is why they had suddenly labeled them traitors when they had been sent on their task.

The creak of the barge sounded loud in the fog, though, what it was echoing off of was a mystery to the young man as he stood in what the workers had called the bow. Ariadne gave a small gasp of pain. The cut in her side hurt and Sevmeir wasn't helping much with his way of cleaning a wound. She sighed as Sevmeir continued to lick her wound.
